Yes We Can was independently produced/directed by Jesse Dylan (son of Bob) as a way of lifting the spirits of the Obama campaign after the loss of New Hampshire during the primaries and became wildly viral soon after.

The video, the sound track, and the slogan were all later adapted by the official Obama campaign - yet another demonstration of how grassroots driven the campaign was.

Connecticut Supreme Court legalizes same-sex marriage Print E-mail

At 11:30 AM Friday morning, the Connecticut Supreme Court put out a 4-3 decision striking down a law barring same-sex marriage.

Connecticut became the third state to legalize gay marriage, following Massachusetts and California.

Planned Parenthood is running a fund raiser for October and November that works in an amusing way. It works like sponsoring a walk-a-thon, except instead of bidding on every mile someone walks, you bid on every protester who shows up at their clinics!

They're calling it "Pledge-a-Picket".

If you are a citizen of the US or Canada, there is a national election coming up that you should participate in. Canada's 40th General Election is scheduled for October 14, 2008 and the US general election is scheduled for November 4, 2008.
