Macho Sluts, by Pat Califia*, is simply the hottest thing I have ever, ever read.

I have often said that this book is hot enough to get you off if you have a pulse at all, and maybe even if you don't. ;)

Melting Point, by Pat Califia*, is a collection of lesbian short stories. The stories are definitely pornographic, the entire point is whack-off material for leatherdykes. However, they are not typically pornographic in the sense that there is enough back story to make you interested in the characters.

However, the main reason I am a fan of the author's fiction is that any description, whether explicitly sexual or not, is utterly sensual. A simple description of someone walking across the floor is arousing. The actual sex scenes are explosively hot.

review of Carrie's Story: An Erotic S/M Novel Print E-mail

I recently read Carrie's Story: An Erotic S/M Novel by Molly Weatherfield because it was highly recommended by some BDSM folk I respect, a fem domme and her submissive who thought it was wonderful.

So I was rather surprised to find that it is entirely a story about a female submissive who is with a male dominant throughout most of the book. I think the specific folks who recommended it found it hot because of the pony girl twist towards the middle of the novel.

My Darling Dominatrix by Grant Antrews is considered by many to be a classic fem domme fantasy.

The story takes place in Washington D.C. during the Reagan administration. Ned Ramsell is a young, successful, recently divorced Vietnam veteran who notices a breathtaking lady on a bench while jogging in the park one day. He begins watching for her and notices she often meets men who bring her envelopes, sometimes even kneeling to kiss her shoes. Eventually, he gets up the nerve to approach her and ask her out and thus the adventure begins.

Screw the Roses; Send Me the Thorns was written by Philip Miller and Molly Devon in 1988, and while a bit dated, it remains a good introduction to the scene for newbies with a few caveats.

But first the good news. The book covers the basics a newbie needs to know: safety issues, basic bondage techniques, how to use a whip both sensually and sadistically, sensation play, negotiation, how to find partners. It's a quite good overview of the scene.

The movie was just incredibly stupid (though I have to credit it for having some eye candy), but I remember really enjoying the book.

Yesterday, I was discussing one particularly hot scene from that book with a caller: the wrestling scene between Elliott and the other slave. I found that pretty hot.

If you don't know what I'm referring to, it's a series of books by Laura Antoniou.

Laura is an extremely intelligent, literate chick that writes incredibly hot stories about characters that seem like real people. I spent about a week rereading the first three books recently and was just climbing the walls all week! Laura is a massive turn-on for me and I recommend her highly.
