This is a fun story; I got to be a complete bitch and yet it was completely justifiable as an educational experience.
I had met a newbie to BDSM online, and had given him all the typical safety advice, such as "don't let a stranger tie you up" and "meet in a public place first" and " make sure someone knows where you are". I met him for the first time in real life at a local hotel. I tied him inescapably to the bed and then asked what safety precautions he'd taken. Turns out, he'd taken none. I knew we hadn't met in public first. I was a stranger who he'd let tie him up. And no one knew where he was, he hadn't even left a note on his desk or a file on his computer. So.. I took a large knife out of my toy bag and asked him how he knew I wasn't a serial killer. "Well, you have a good reputation in the scene." "Sure. I have a great reputation amongst those who didn't go off with me alone and allow themselves to be tied up. I'm not stupid. You have no idea what my reputation is amongst those who break all the safety rules though." "But you gave me all that safety advice. Why would you do that if you were a serial killer?" "What better cover? It worked, didn't it? You trusted me enough to ignore all the safety rules." "There's been nothing in the news about a serial killer in this area, so I know you've not killed people." "Hey, maybe I'm a virgin. If you're my first, I'll be in the papers soon enough." He squirmed and fought his bonds for a good forty minutes while we argued about whether or not I was likely to chop him up into little pieces. God, I LOVE fear. Much later, after the scene was over, I asked him why he hadn't safeworded. He was afraid to! If he safeworded and I didn't let him up, he'd know I was really psycho and he was afraid to find out.
