Mistress Talia: a sadistic domme

It's a bit tricky to explain exactly what The Porn Bloggers is. Basically, it's a group of people who run porn-oriented blogs, rather like my Women in Bondage blog. I'm pretty new to building adult web sites, that blog and the BDSM hub I've begun at MistressTalia.com is all I've done so far; most of The Porn Bloggers are much more experienced with both pornography and blogging than I am.

It almost sounds like we have nothing in common as I try to explain us, most of TPBs are very experienced and successful adult webmasters, yet, there's a few newbies like me. A few are into BDSM, but most are into other things - ranging from shemale porn to softcore babe porn and many other niches; I've added all TPBs blogs to my blogroll to the right, you can identify them by the asterisk next to the name.

Bloggers have organized before. One type of organization is called a blog carnival, where bloggers post links to each other's posts as in Sugasm.

Another type of organizations is a bloghop, in which a bunch of bloggers visit each other's blogs and make comments on them.

Why do bloggers do this sort of thing? Well, blogging is a lonely business. It looks like I'm out here chatting away and being all social when you read my posts. But the fact is, as I write, I sit alone in a room with a computer. And the blog rarely talks back to me. Seriously, there's over 250 unique visitors here every day, but I've gotten less than a hundred comments in the entire history of this site!

So while most bloggers are sorta anti-social types to be doing this type of thing in the first place, like any other group, we seek each other out for help, advice, support.

Amongst many of the places adult webmasters hang out, a few of us have become friendly and formed TPBs, a small group of porn bloggers who just happen to rather like each other regardless of the type of porn we work with or our length of experience or anything else.

Also, TPBs isn't organized like a blog carnival or a bloghop, it's sort of an anarchy of a bunch of related blogs, related only because we choose to relate ourselves to each other.

Why should you, reader of my blog, give a flying fuck? Well, maybe you shouldn't. However, if you like the tone of this blog, you're very likely to like the other TPBs. Because... the stuff that characterizes TPBs is the stuff that attracted me to this group of perverts, that they were all relatively clueful, that there was a heavy dose of sarcasm and smart-assness in much of what they had to say, that there was a lot of sick and twisted humor apparent in these people.

To "follow" along with these posts will be more fun as you get to know all of us, as we'll be commenting on each other's blogs, hassling each other and teasing each other.

And if you happen to be into the specific fetish of "voyeur of folks involved in the porn business", you've hit paydirt with this!

• Flip's Flophouse by Flip, a British househusband by day and Rolf's "ghey" girlfriend by night, who somehow manages to squeeze in some blogging about babe porn on the side,
• MyWordFetish by Bewinged, who claims words are not her only fetish (but a darned convenient fetish for a blogger to have),
• Porn Enchantress by Autumn, another kinky bi chick who is also one of the best writers of original erotica to grace the web with her presence,
• Sadistic Domme by moi and LJ,
• Why I Hate Porn Blog by Chimera, who rants and raves about what is particularly stupid in the porn world, which strikes me as a HUGE topic area.

It didn't occur to me until I was making up the list how many female porn-slingers are on the list, it's a weird list of porn bloggers where the majority are chicks. Weird, eh?
